Stage 2 tuning takes engine performance beyond what is achievable on stock hardware. This level of ECU remapping is designed for vehicles that have been fitted with supporting hardware upgrades such as a performance exhaust system, upgraded intercooler, high-flow air intake, or larger turbocharger.

With the airflow restrictions of the standard components removed, the ECU can be calibrated to deliver significantly higher boost pressures, more aggressive fuel injection strategies, and extended torque limits. The result is a substantial leap in power and torque that transforms the driving experience.

Our Stage 2 calibrations are developed specifically for each combination of hardware modifications. The engineer takes into account the exact components fitted to your vehicle, ensuring the calibration fully exploits the potential of your upgrades while maintaining safe operating margins.

For turbocharged diesel engines with performance exhaust and intercooler upgrades, Stage 2 gains typically range from 35 to 50 percent over the original stock figures. Turbocharged petrol engines with supporting modifications can see similar improvements, with some platforms exceeding 50 percent power gains.

Each Stage 2 file is a custom calibration, not a scaled-up Stage 1 map. Boost curves, injection timing, rail pressure targets, and torque management are all recalibrated to match the improved airflow characteristics of the modified hardware. This approach delivers the best possible results in terms of power delivery, responsiveness, and reliability.
